The beauty of Cinque Terre has to be seen to be believed. In October 2022 I visited for a long weekend and already want to return to do visit all the places I didn’t have time to see.
I caught a quick flight to Pisa then its a few short train journeys (2 hours approximately) to reach the beautiful 5 villages that make up the Cinque Terre.
We stayed in Riomaggiore which was a great base. A lot of people also stay in La Spezia, where it seems there may be more accommodation options.
Riomaggiore
Beautiful little village, with a colourful harbour and vibrant main street. Lots of lovely places to eat and drink.

Manaorla
This was probably my favourite town. We did a Pesto making class here at Nessun Dorma, which is highly recommended

Vernazza

Monterosso
The largest of the 5 villages an the only one with a long sandy beach. We spent a day here, where we rented a sunbed and just chilled out in the sun.
