Absolutely loved our week in Lake Como. Flew with EasyJet to Milan then arranged a private transfer to Domaso where we were staying (1.5 hour drive). We stayed at https://www.hotelvischi.it/en which was great, a few mins from the lake (and a great beach bar) with lots of restaurants near by. Good breakfast and decent sized pool. The room setups are also great for families, we had an upstirs and downstairs with 2 bathrooms. The restaurant on site called is called La Ronde we ate there a few nights and had fantastic food and wine at a good price!

We hung out at this beach bar a lot during our week. Its very cool, with stunning views of the lake, in the daytime there are lots of sun loungers out and at night funky striped deckchairs. It also has good food and a nice Gin selection.

Boat Day

We hired speed boats in Dongo from a company called Newton Rent a boat it was amazing! You don’t need a license to take a boat out for the day and drive round the lake. Proper powerful speed boats, just so much fun and definitely my favourite day while here. We hired the boats for 4 hours which was perfect, they are actually so easy to drive and we even stopped a few times for a swim.

Driving a speed boat around Lake Como – epic!

Bellagio

We took a high speed ferry to Bellagio for the day. Bellagio is probably the most popular town in Lake Como so it was very busy. It’s totally like it looks in photos, lots of winding steep cobbled streets.

Menaggio

Menaggio is another charming little town that we visited. It has a lovely square in the centre which is nice to hang out and grab a coffee at one of the little cafes.

Veranna

Veranna was my favourite town, so very pretty and an old worldly feel to it.

Lenno

Lenno is nice for a wander round, its quite small. There is a nice area for swimming near the lake and lots of lakeside restaurants for eating with a view.
